Rachel found recovery from an eating disorder and substance abuse back in 2006. She has experience in various 12-Step programs, including Alcoholics Anonymous, Cocaine Anonymous, Overeaters Anonymous, CoDependence Anonymous, Sex & Love Addicts Anonymous, and Al-Anon. Her experiences healing from sexual abuse and PTSD allow her to support clients who suffer from trauma with sincere empathy and hope. Rachel has been a volunteer speaker and group facilitator for Scottsdale Providence Recovery, Acceptance Recovery Center, Fountain Hills Recovery, the Meadows (IOP and in-patient). She is also familiar with SMART recovery, Refuge Recovery, and trauma-based recovery models used for those who seek to improve their mental/emotional health.

Rachel has 13 years of mentoring experience, and works with clients in various life stages. Friends describe her as a wellness cheerleader and recovery enthusiast. She is empathetic, principle oriented, and approaches client concerns with an open-minded spirit and a library of resources. She is a Peer Support Specialist, safeTALK (suicide prevention) trained, a certified yoga instructor, and continues to attend educational seminars in the following areas: trauma and the body, expressive arts therapy, marriage and family therapy, and the neuroscience of addiction.
